Film Festival in Bucharest

SUBMISSIONS OPEN!!!

The third edition of NexT International Short and Medium Length Film Festival will take place in Bucharest from April 1 to April 5, 2009.
Therefore, NexT calls for entries of narrative films up to 60 minutes (animation included, no documentaries), completed after the 1st of January 2007.

Besides the competition and the off competition programmes, NexT also presents a series of seminars on directing, sound-design, production&distribution, offered free of charge to the participants.

NexT intends to be a meeting point for young filmmakers around the world.
NexT covers accommodation and travel expenses (%) for the director / sound-designer of the films in competition.

Get-together with local filmmakers & live music every night.

Deadline for submissions: January 10, 2009

CORTOS PARA EL URUGUAY

INFINIT y el Ministerio de Educación y Cultura presentan La Pedrera ShortFilm Festival 6.

Entre el 15 de octubre y el 14 de noviembre del corriente año estará
abierta la inscripción para esta próxima edición. Los realizadores y
directores pueden consultar las bases e inscribir sus cortos en
www.lapedrerashortfilmfestival.com

De los cortos inscriptos se realizará una selección para la exhibición y
concurso para el Festival que se llevará a cabo entre el 9 y 11 de enero
de 2009 en el Club La Pedrera en Rocha, Uruguay. Los mismos serán
evaluados por un prestigioso jurado.

VAMOS AL METRO DE PARIS

We remind you that online submissions to the 17th International Festival Train & Metro on Film (Paris, France) are open on www.shortfilmdepot.com.

This festival is organised by Cinerail and has been established to promote, among broadcasters and the wider public, films that have been produced in relation with the world of railways, whether they describe it or use it as a backdrop.

ATTENTION: CinéRail is a theme related festival. The competition is exclusively open to short films whose theme is related to the world of railways (trains, metro, stations, lines, workers, travellers…). Films that are not clearly related to railways are not eligible.
Films that give a positive image of train and are an invitation to travel will particularly be appreciated. The general rules of the festival apply to all the films submitted in competition.

FESTIVAL DATES: March 25 - 31, 2007

SHORT FILM COMPETITION
Submission deadline: 28 November 2008
Entry fee: none
Requirements :
1) Films that were already submitted to the Cinérail selection committee in previous years cannot be submitted again
2) Not exceeding: 59 minutes
3) Country of production: all countries
4) Festival screening format: 35 mm optical sound, Beta SP Pal, DVD
5) Submitted films must have a clear and substantiated link with the world of railways
6) Accepted genres: fiction, animation, experimental

DOCUMENTARY COMPETITION
Submission deadline: 28 November 2008
Entry fee: none
Requirements :
1) Films that were already submitted to the Cinérail selection committee in previous years cannot be submitted again
2) Not exceeding: 59 minutes
3) Country of production: all countries
4) Screening format: 35 mm optical sound, Beta SP Pal, DVD
5) Submitted films must have a clear and substantiated link with the world of railways
6) Accepted genres: documentary, fiction-documentary

2) Maximum running time: 25 minutes (including credits)
3) Japanese Premieres Only: Your film must not screen in Japan on any media, either commercially or in a festival or otherwise, before Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia 2009
4) Country of production: all countries except Asian countries *
5) Screening format: Digi-Betacam NTSC or Beta SP NTSC
6) Genres accepted: All genres, except Music Video Clips
7) If the dialog language is not Japanese nor English, English subtitles must be prepared for preview copies.
*Asian countries are defined as:

LANZAN BASES PARA EL FESTIVAL CHILENO INTERNACIONAL DEL CORTOMETRAJE 2007


* En su XV versión, el Festival Chileno Internacional del Cortometraje
FESANCOR 2007, espera mostrar una competencia internacional que reúna las
producciones de directores de prestigio y jóvenes talentos. El certamen se
realizará entre el 8 y 14 de noviembre.

* La recepción de las postulaciones será hasta el 1º septiembre 2007 (se
tomará en cuenta el timbre de correo) para entregar antecedentes y
diálogos de la obra de ser en idioma extranjero. La ficha puede ser vista

El cierre de las postulaciones es el 1 de septiembre.
